First Visit

We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important visit will help us to understand your orthodontic needs. We may need to schedule a second appointment for diagnostic records (X-rays, photos and impressions for study models).

On your first visit, our objective is to determine the short and long-term needs for you and your child. At this visit, one of three outcomes is determined:

1. Treatment is needed now.
2. Treatment is not needed.
3. Treatment is needed, but it should be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors are monitored and reconciled.

You will have the opportunity to discuss treatment options, length of treatment and financial arrangements. We want our patients to leave the office with a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of and how long it will take. Questions are encouraged and we are always available to address any concerns.
